new life church visionDoing whatever it takes to connect people to Christ.
new life church missionLeading people into a deeper relationship with God and stronger relationships with others.
Our Vision and Mission come from the two greatest commandments which were given to us by Jesus.
Jesus replied, "'You must love the lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."
Matthew 22:37-40 (NLT)
our Core Values
1. The worth and value of every human beingThere is an intrinsic worth and value placed by God on every human being - saved or lost, young or old, rich or poor, whatever ethnic background. This causes us to strive to treat one another with respect and honor.
"For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life." (John 3:16 AMP)
2. Forgiveness, restoration and reconciliationThe salvation of God not only provides forgiveness, but also restoration and reconciliation. This is a "No Perfect People Allowed!" church.
"It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but canceling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor)." (2 Corinthians 5:15, 19 AMP)
3. God's purpose and plan for our livesThere is a purpose and plan in God's heart for each one of us and He desires for us to discover and experience that plan.
"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10 NIV)
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us." (Hebrews 12:1 NIV)
4. We live for God, not ourselvesWe understand and accept our responsibility to pass faith in Christ to our children and our children's children. We live for God and the generations yet to come, running our race well and successfully handing the baton to the next generation. So that, when we are in Heaven, God's Church is alive and well in Corpus Christi, TX.
"And He died for all, so that all those who live might live no longer to and for themselves, but to and for Him Who died and was raised again for their sake."
(2 Corinthians 5:15 AMP)
